Originally from South Florida, Melissa moved out to the Northwest in 1998 where she received her undergraduate degree in nursing at Boise State University and her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, specializing in women’s health. Nationally-certified as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner, she decided to focus on women’s health after spending many years working as a nurse in the OB/GYN setting and witnessing the close bonds that are formed between the provider and the patients. Melissa appreciates building lasting, impactful relationships with her patients and placing an emphasis on education and healthy living.
Melissa loves a good laugh, traveling and spending time outdoors hiking, mountain biking and kayaking with her family in her spare time. However, she also enjoys spending time indoors watching a good movie or TV series, or planning how she should create more “me time” in her life. She has a tight relationship with her Shih Tzu, Honey.
