About Provider
Devon Riley, CNM
CERTIFIED NURSE-MIDWIFE
Biography
Devon grew up in Steamboat Springs, CO. Her heroes are Indiana Jones and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, so it’s no wonder she studied anthropology at Lewis & Clark College and came to practice medicine in the mountains. Devon learned about midwifery during undergraduate classes, and her passion for reproductive healthcare was solidified by a study-abroad program in Tanzania where she worked on a project to provide contraception to women. After living in Portland, OR for nine years, Devon pursued training as a Certified Nurse-Midwife at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
After graduating from midwifery school, Devon practiced in western MA, before coming back to Bend to be closer to family, and she feels firmly planted in this community. Devon is passionate about providing individualized, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care with the most up-to-date medical evidence and research. She believes in supporting normal, physiologic processes and using a hands-on approach in labor and birth, and she loves building ongoing relationships built on mutual respect. While pregnancy and birth are a big part of her life, she also enjoys providing gynecologic care across the lifespan and is especially interested in perinatal mood disorders, sexual dysfunction, and choosing contraception.
When not at work, Devon is taking advantage of Bend’s outdoor activities with her husband, daughter, and dog.
