Kirsten Emanuel, WHNP
WOMEN'S HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER
Kirsten began her nursing career in 2011 as a labor and delivery nurse working in a large Children’s hospital in Houston, Texas. There she gained experience in high-risk obstetrical care and management. Kirsten quickly realized that she desired to further her training in caring for women and obtained her Nurse Practitioner degree from The University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center in 2013. Following her graduation, she worked as a Faculty Member for The University of Texas Medical Branch in their women’s health and pediatrics department.
It was during her first pregnancy in 2018 that she was introduced to Maternal Fetal Medicine to care for her high-risk pregnancy. Kirsten has since worked as a Nurse Practitioner working in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Having Gestational Diabetes herself, she developed a passion for educating women regarding this diagnosis and obtained her Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification.
Kirsten and her family moved to Bend in 2023. She is excited for the opportunity to be an advocate for and walking women through the diagnosis of pre-gestational and gestational diabetes within this community.
In her spare time, you will find her hiking, cooking, painting and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
