Biography
Dr. James M. Carlson received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from the University of Wyoming, then attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California. He completed his residency and internship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan before moving to Oregon in 2002 to practice obstetrics and gynecology. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Carlson’s special interests are reconstructive pelvic surgery for pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence, as well as minimally-invasive laparoscopic surgery. He also enjoys both normal and high-risk obstetrics. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Carlson practices a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Dr. Carlson is married with three children and in his spare time can be found on the ski slopes, water skiing, camping or on the mountain bike trails around Bend.
